Hello
My name is Anastasia Amy. Sunflower lover and coffee addict with a strange affinity for the smell of paper and the filling up of pages. I am an actor, poet, creative, and entrepreneur relentlessly pursuing the passions that set my soul on fire.
My Story
When I was a little girl, I would watch films in awe and wonder. I would promptly run to my bedroom when the credits rolled to act out the different accents, emotions, characters. They made me feel, and I liked the feeling of feeling. The catharsis of it all - the healing that came from acknowledging our deepest vulnerabilities and exploring the human condition in a safe environment.
Once I could write it's all I ever did. And act. And write; about it all - the hardships and the beauty. It was only in my adult life that I realised how much interplay there was between these two artforms; poetry was the story, acting the storytelling; the three-dimensional awakening of words on pages. And they were both meaning-making.
In everything I do I am lead by creativity and driven by storytelling. I strive to be a compassionate and empathetic person, which carries over into my characterisation. I aspire to create positive change, uplift and inspire the downtrodden and give voice to the stories of the unheard and overlooked. Here's to that journey - thank you for your support along the ride.
